Bible answer.
This is the ONLY story where healing did not happen. It is in Matthew Mark and Luke.
Matthew 17:14-21
And when THEY (Jesus, Peter, James and John) had come to the MULTITUDE, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I BROUGHT HIM TO YOUR DISCIPLES, but THEY COULD NOT CURE HIM.”
Then Jesus answered and said, “O FAITHLESS and PERVERSE generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon (Epileptic seizure), and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
Then the disciples came to Jesus PRIVATELY and said, “WHY COULD WE NOT CAST IT OUT?”
So Jesus said to them, “Because of YOUR UNBELIEF/LITTLE FAITH; for assuredly, I say to YOU, if YOU have FAITH as a mustard seed, YOU will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and NOTHING will be impossible for YOU. However, this kind (UNBELIEF/LITTLE FAITH) does not go out except by PRAYER AND FASTING.”
Prayer AND Fasting is the key to remove REAL UNBELIEF IN YOU. You can say you have faith but the disciples where accused by Jesus of having little faith/unbelief. Jesus did the same to Peter walking on the sea in Matthew 14:30-31. “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, HE WAS AFRAID; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of LITTLE FAITH, why did YOU doubt?”
Notice that the disciples in Matthew 10:6-8 where sent out to “GO rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” So for seven chapters until Matthew 17, the disciples where raising the dead, casting out demons and healing the sick and lepers. What was different?
Mark gives a little more detail about the boy. Look at Mark 9:14-29.
And when He CAME TO THE DISCIPLES, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes DISPUTING WITH THEM. Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him. And He asked the scribes, “What are you discussing with them?”
Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he FOAMS AT THE MOUTH, GNASHES HIS TEETH, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”
He answered him and said, “O FAITHLESS generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately THE SPIRIT convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, FOAMING AT THE MOUTH.
So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I BELIEVE; HELP MY UNBELIEF!”
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.
And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “WHY COULD WE NOT CAST IT (HIM) OUT?”
So He said to them, “This KIND can come out by nothing but PRAYER AND FASTING.”

Certain KINDS (DEMONS) can ONLY COME OUT by Prayer and FASTING!
So many fasted in the Bible. It is powerful.
Samuels mother Hannah fasted to become pregnant with Samuel (1 Samuel 1). Elijah fasted for many days and then another 40 days after an angel fed him twice (1 Kings 19). David fasted for 7 days (2 Samuel 12:16-18). And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah (2 Ch 20:3). Esther did a dry fast with her maids and all of the Jews for three days (Esther 4:16). So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, … Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water (Jonah 3:5-7). Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib; and when he came there, he ate no bread and drank no water, for he mourned because of the guilt of those from the captivity (Ezra 10:6). Nehemiah fasted and prayed with mourning for many days for Israel (Neh 1:4) Daniel set his “face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes (Daniel 9:3). Daniel fasted and “ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into his mouth” for 21 days and an angel came to him (Daniel 10). Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, served God with fastings and prayers night and day (Luke 2:36-37). John the Baptist and his disciples “fasted often” (Matt 9:14). Jesus fasted for 40 days and “AFTERWARD he was hungry” (Matt 4:2). Cornelius fasted and prayed and an angel visited him (Acts 10:30). Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became “very hungry” and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened (Acts 10:9-11). As they ministered to the Lord AND FASTED, the Holy Spirit said, “NOW separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away (Acts 13:2-3) Paul fasted with “a long abstinence from food” and an angel came to him (Acts 27:21-38). Paul was “in fastings often” (2 Cor 11:27) imitating Christ.
The boy scared the disciples. Jesus had zero fear compared to the disciples because there is no fear in love as stated in 1 John 4:18. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
Peter, Paul, Elijah and Elisha raised the dead (Acts 9:36-41, Acts 20:7-12, 1 Kings 17:17-24, 2 Kings 4:32-37). We as believers, with no fear can do the same.
Study fasting (Isaiah 58). It heals and removes YOUR unbelief.
Matthew 9:14-15
Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days WILL come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, AND THEN THEY WILL FAST.

Sin embargo, este tipo (INCREÍBLE / PEQUEÑA FE) no sale excepto por ORACIÓN Y AYUNO “.
La oración y el ayuno es la clave para eliminar la verdadera incredulidad en ti. Puedes decir que tienes fe, pero los discípulos fueron acusados por Jesús de tener poca fe / incredulidad. Jesús hizo lo mismo con Pedro caminando sobre el mar en Mateo 14: 30-31. “Pero cuando vio que el viento era bullicioso, tuvo miedo; y comenzando a hundirse gritó, diciendo: “¡Señor, sálvame!”
E inmediatamente Jesús extendió su mano y lo atrapó, y le dijo: “Oh, tú de LITTLE FE, ¿por qué dudaste?”
Observe que los discípulos en Mateo 10: 6-8 fueron enviados a “IR más bien a las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel. Y a medida que avanza, predique, diciendo: El reino de los cielos está cerca “. ¡Ciertos TIPOS (DEMONIOS) SOLO PUEDEN SALIR Orando y AYUNANDO!
Muchos ayunaron en la Biblia. Es de gran alcance.
La madre de Samuel, Hannah, ayunó para quedar embarazada de Samuel (1 Samuel 1). Elijah ayunó durante muchos días y luego otros 40 días después de que un ángel lo alimentó dos veces (1 Reyes 19). David ayunó durante 7 días (2 Samuel 12: 16-18). Y Josafat temió, y se dispuso a buscar al Señor, y proclamó un ayuno en todo Judá (2 Ch 20: 3). Esther hizo un ayuno seco con sus doncellas y todos los judíos durante tres días (Esther 4:16). El niño asustó a los discípulos. Jesús tenía cero miedo en comparación con los discípulos porque no hay miedo en el amor como se dice en 1 Juan 4:18. “No hay miedo en el amor; pero el amor perfecto expulsa el miedo, porque el miedo implica tormento. Pero el que teme no ha sido perfeccionado en el amor.
Pedro, Pablo, Elías y Eliseo resucitaron a los muertos (Hechos 9: 36-41, Hechos 20: 7-12, 1 Reyes 17: 17-24, 2 Reyes 4: 32-37). Nosotros, como creyentes, sin miedo podemos hacer lo mismo.
Estudie el ayuno (Isaías 58). Cura y elimina TU incredulidad.
