Imitate Christ is a not-for-profit ministry to equip believers to literally Imitate Christ as described in the Bible. (Eph 5:1, 1 John 2:6, 1 Peter 2:21) Jesus being our model showed us what it means to be “in the power of the Spirit” (Luke 4:14) and “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38). I believe that Jesus Christ “is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb 13:8) and that “all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen (2 Cor 2:20).
Jesus said “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME (John 14:6). I believe that “he himself is the PROPITIATION for our sins, and not for ours only, but also the whole world. By HIS BLOOD, THROUGH FAITH, to demonstrate His righteousness, because of HIS FORBEARANCE God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time his righteousness, that He might be the just and the justifier of THE ONE WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS (1 John 2:2, Hebrews 2:17, Romans 3:25-26).”
Jesus said “If YOU love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS (John 14:15). Jesus commands us believers to heal the sick in Luke 10:9 and say to them, The Kingdom of God has come near to you. His last words in Matthew are to “GO therefore and MAKE DISCIPLES of ALL nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING the to OBSERVE ALL things that I have COMMANDED YOU; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matthew 28:19-20).
Finally, Jesus’s last words in the book of Mark describes the signs that FOLLOW a believer. “And these signs WILL follow those who believe: In My name they WILL cast out demons; they WILL speak with new tongues; they WILL take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it WILL by no means hurt them; they WILL lay hands on the sick, and they WILL recover” (Mark 16:17-18).
Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore be IMITATORS of God as dear children. And WALK IN LOVE, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
