Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9. NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.
(Verse 9 means thinking that you are a good person on your own terms you are saved by works alone. Verse 10 confirms it)
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD WORKS, which God prepared beforehand that WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.
James 1:22-25
But BE DOERS OF THE WORD, and not hearers only, DECEIVING YOURSELVES. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and NOT A DOER, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately FORGETS THE KIND OF MAN HE WAS. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one WILL be blessed in what he does.
1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God is NOT a matter of TALK BUT OF POWER.
Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, AND DOES THEM, I will liken him to a WISE MAN who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and DOES NOT DO THEM, will be like a FOOLISH MAN who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And GREAT WAS ITS FALL.”
James 2:14
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but DOES NOT HAVE WORKS? CAN FAITH SAVE HIM?
Titus 3:8
those who have BELIEVED in God should be careful to MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS.
James 2:17-18
Thus also FAITH by itself, IF IT DOES NOT HAVE WORKS, IS DEAD.
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I WILL SHOW YOU MY FAITH BY MY WORKS.
JAMES 2:24-26
You see then that a man IS JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, and NOT by faith only.
Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, SO FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD ALSO.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he WILL keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me DOES NOT keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
