We must study the word to defend ourselves like Jesus did with the Devil. He is our model. Jesus did not rebuke the devil as explained in Jude 1:9 at that moment. Jesus was showing US how the word is sharper than any two edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) against the devil.
In Luke 2:40 it says that “the Child GREW and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” Jesus did not come out and spoke all tongues on his own. Jesus GREW up and studied the Scriptures like the Jews did in those days. He was supposedly taught Aramaic Hebrew and Greek in school and by his family. In those days the children started studying at the age of 5. Jesus was a Jew and did exactly the same as was explained in Deuteronomy 6:1-9. The main verse was verse 7 about teaching children the greatest commandment and it says “You shall TEACH them DILIGENTLY to your CHILDREN, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

σπουδάζω – spoudázō – Study
