John 18:33-38
Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”
Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”
Jesus answered, “MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You SAY RIGHTLY THAT I AM A KING. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.
2 Cor 4:18
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
John 3:3-5
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 12:31
Now is the judgment of this world; now THE RULER OF THIS WORLD will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 14:30
I will no longer talk much with you, for THE RULER OF THIS WORLD IS COMING, and he has nothing in Me.
John 16:10-11
because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because THE RULER OF THIS WORLD IS JUDGED.
Eph 6:11-12
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS AGE, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
So the devil is the ruler of this world when man fell. Paul says in Ephesians that we are to stand against the rulers of the darkness of this age (today).
2 Cor 4:3-4
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds THE god OF THIS AGE HAS BLINDED, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF GOD ABIDES FOREVER.
2 Cor 12:1-5
It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to THE THIRD HEAVEN. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up INTO PARADISE and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.
