Psalms 115:15-16
May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; BUT THE EARTH HE HAS GIVEN TO THE CHILDREN OF MEN.
So the earth was Mans (Gen 1:28-30) and what happened?
Luke 4:6
And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; FOR THIS HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO ME, and I give it to whomever I wish.
So in the fall we gave the earth to the devil.
John 12:31
Now is the judgment of this world; now THE RULER OF THIS WORLD will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 14:30
I will no longer talk much with you, for THE RULER OF THIS WORLD IS COMING, and he has nothing in Me.
John 16:10-11
because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because THE RULER OF THIS WORLD IS JUDGED.
Eph 6:11-12
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS AGE, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
So the devil is the ruler of this world when man fell. Paul says in Ephesians that we are to stand against the rulers of the darkness of this age (today).
2 Cor 4:3-4
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds THE god OF THIS AGE HAS BLINDED, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF GOD ABIDES FOREVER.
We must learn and understand what the Will of God is (Eph 5:17) to fight the war against the rulers of darkness of this age (Eph 6:11-12).
JESUS IS THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (1 Timothy 6:15-16, Rev 17:14)
In Daniel 10:13 (Daniel Fast) the angel speaks to Daniel and says that the “prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty one days; and behold, Michael, one of the CHIEF PRINCES, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings (little k) of Persia.
We fight a spiritual battle, not a fleshly one. And with prayer and fasting we get to decide who wins.
